Barnes is a Member of the Firm Epstein Baker Green in the Health Care and Life Sciences practice in the firm's D.C., and New York offices for over thirty five years and serves as Co-Chair of the firm's Health Plan Compliance Group. Mr. Barnes represents providers, including hospitals, nursing homes; managed care companies, concentrating in Medicare and Medicaid; and non-profit associations.
Mr. Barnes discusses his career in health law, leaders that have meaningfully impacted him, and invites an introspective look at our approach to healthcare.

Tracey received as B.S., M.P.H, and J.D. all from the University of Connecticut. On this International Privacy Day, Tracey discusses the importance of privacy in healthcare, and how patients and healthcare leaders can better prioritize it in their own lives.

Derick Simmons graduated the Sloan Program in Health Administration at Cornell University in 2019 with his MHA. Prior, he received a B.S. in Management and Organizations from Brigham Young University. Since, Derick worked at SSM Health as a Transformation and Strategy Consultant before moving to Rock Health as a Consulting Analyst.
Derick speaks regarding the unique career paths found in venture capital and transformation within healthcare, and the importance of mentor and culture when searching for opportunities.

Nancy Schlichting is the former CEO of Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan. In addition to that role, Nancy has chaired the Commission on Care, appointed by President Barack Obama, to research ways to improve the Department of Veterans Affairs, and serves on multiple boards, including Walgreens Boots Alliance and Duke University Health System. Nancy has also authored a book entitled "Unconventional Leadership."

Dr. Jared Tadje is an orthopedic surgeon from Idaho and the head of Tadje Orthopedics. Dr. Tadje received his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University and his medical degree at the University of Virginia where he published several pieces of research on sports injuries on shoulders and knees. Dr. Tadje completed his residence at the University of Michigan. Dr. Tadje has travelled around the world, including to Nepal, to perform surgeries in underserved areas.
Now, Dr. Tadje speaks to Health Conscious about the challenges of running small private practices, and the ways he navigates being both a provider and an administrator.
